SEALs Project Manager

The SEALs Project Manager will provide leadership, support and training for the SEALs Project in the Rome City School District. The Project Manager of SEALs will primarily provide direct oversight of the day-to-day operations of the SEALs project providing direct services to students, faculty/staff and support/supervision of SEALs Coordinators in their day-to-day roles with a specialty on social emotional academic learning supports in the school and community setting.

This position will facilitate programming/training throughout the School District, including coaching/modeling, training staff, in collaboration with school personnel to inform plans for students related to mental health and behaviors (this could include student observations, document service interventions and attending school building/district MTSS meetings). The SEALs Project Manager will lead the collaboration with the Rome CSD to assess needs for targeted training, organization and facilitation of specialized training related to SEALs.

This position will collaborate with the Connected Community Schools Initiative Executive leadership and management team for the onboarding and new hire training, providing and facilitating specific training in addition to taking the lead of being an expert for staff to shadow in the field at school learning the SEALs Program deliverables and any additional social, emotional and academic support provided under the Connected Initiative.

This position will participate in data and reporting to the District Administration, including quantitative and qualitative measures. The Project Manager will participate in Quality Management Meetings as applicable to the SEALs Project to provide feedback on the creation/revisions of policies and procedures to enhance the overall quality of the program. This position oversees all populations, but primarily children and families.

This position acts as a liaison and resource to staff, community-based organizations, school staff/faculty and individuals served. This position will work very closely with the CCS Executive leadership and management team to ensure all program deliverables are met by tracking and trending data minimally monthly.

This position will require maintaining responsibilities as a SEALs Coordinator under an assigned School Building as determined by the School District liaison and the Executive Leadership team.

Typical schedule 8am-4pm with flexibility to work in the evening or on a weekend day, depending on programming.

Activities can include but not limited to any or all of the following depending on the need of the connected districts:

  • Responsible for promoting and upholding the Connected Community Schools Model, the nature of a Community School and its pillars, SEALS program fundamentals, and their policies and procedures.
  • Works with school district staff, including but not limited to district and building administration, guidance, and social work staff, to learn district wide policies and procedures, as well as building specific procedures.
  • Create and facilitate training for new hires and refresher training on social, emotional and academic learning supports for all Connected Staff.
  • Required to maintain a physical presence in all designated districts/buildings that are assigned for SEALs (supervisions with staff, observation of staff/students for groups/programming, building relationships and checking in with faculty/staff and school administration etc.)
  • Attend and participate in designated school building LINK Meetings in collaboration with assigned SEALs Coordinator as needed; provide support and guidance to the SEALs Coordinator and LINK team on implementation and outcomes of the project, individual case reviews, macro level building needs, etc.
  • Be familiar with existing school resources and programs.
  • Attend and complete all trainings and certifications as required by the Connected Community Schools Initiative, including the SEALs Project.
  • Provide oversight on the completion of referrals from the SEALs Coordinators, ensuring collaboration with the designated Site Coordinators.
  • Provide oversight on the facilitation of social emotional learning curriculum for lunch groups, after-school programming and/or family engagement nights; based on the district's strategic plan.
  • Participate in MTSS District Committee and building specific MTSS Team Meetings as applicable for clinical case reviews and any other meetings as applicable that relate to the service delivery of the students' Mental Health needs and SEALs project.
