POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE The Associate will support our Public Finance Investment Banking team in all aspects of new business development and transaction execution. The Associate will play a central day-to-day role in deal execution, cash flow modeling, new business idea generation, client material creation and presentation in client meetings and providing training and day-to-day workflow oversight for Analysts on the team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Take a lead role in developing client presentations and responses to Requests for Proposals High proficiency with advanced quantitative analyses including financial forecasting, cash flow analysis, and bond sizing using Excel and third-party debt structuring applications

Work closely with coverage team to take day-to-day leadership in the execution of new issue transactions including documentation, pricing, presentations to investors and rating agencies, and deal closing coordination

Attend client meetings with the banking team and present information in a clear and professional manner with a focus on building client relationships

Generate and maintain debt profiles to provide bankers with an overview of a client’s debt position and historical financing

Able to work with data from various sources to develop relevant market-wide and client-specific analyses

Monitor market conditions to apply new financing and optimization strategies based on clients’ financing needs

Research projects related to regulatory, legal, policy or client-specific issues

All other duties as assigned MANAGEMENT & DECISION MAKING RESPONSIBILITIES Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize time-sensitive deliverables

Coordinate and quality control work by Analysts on shared transactions, projects and deliverables

Provide ad hoc training and support to AnalystsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS Advanced analytical skills with attention to detail

Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to deliver work products with limited oversight and assume significant level of responsibility

High level of client focus and commitment to delivering quality work product on a time-sensitive basis in a fast-paced environment

Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills

Must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills

Advanced proficiency with DBC Finance, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Finance or similar2+ years of previous experience as a Public Finance Analyst (or similar role in Public Finance)
REQUIRED LICENSES & CERTIFICATESFINRA SIE, series 52, and series 63 licensures (or within 90 days of hire)
