Job Description
IMCU/PCU RN - Day Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with floating required.

Job Description

The IMCU unit offers specialized care for patients with various diagnoses, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory issues. The nurse will manage patients with conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, and those in the post-operative phase. The unit includes 64 beds, with 15 designated for neuro patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the IMCU.
• Utilize advanced equipment such as temporary pacers, chest tubes, and BiPAP.
• Work collaboratively with respiratory therapists for ventilator management.
• Document patient care and progress accurately in EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Active NY RN license and verification through NURSYS report.
• Experience with EPIC EMR.
• Travel experience is required.
