Medical Surgical RN - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.
Job Description
The Medical Surgical RN will provide care for adult patients post-surgery, managing a variety of common diagnoses such as abdominal pain, cholelithiasis, osteoarthritis, fractures, back pain, and morbid obesity. The role requires the use of specialty equipment including IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding tubes. Floating between units is expected based on patient care needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the physician.
- Provide post-surgical care and support for patients recovering from surgery.
- Assist in the use and management of medical equipment pertinent to patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
- Travel experience is required.
- Current active NY RN License and all active RN licenses.
- Up-to-date AHA BLS certification.
- EMR experience with EPIC.
- Driver's license with an address matching demographics.
