Job Description
The Emergency Department is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (ED RN) with at least 3 years of experience, including some pediatric experience, to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The unit features 64 beds and caters to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing medical emergencies, including strokes, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarctions, and respiratory failure.
- Administer medications and manage drips, including pressors, vasodilators, and anti-arrhythmics.
- Conduct assessments and triage patients effectively.
- Utilize specialty equipment, such as Rapid Infusors and Arctic Sun, to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate treatment plans.
- Floating to different units may be required.
- Active New York RN License, verified through NURSYS.
- Current certifications in AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Demonstrated travel nursing experience is required.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically EPIC.
- Skills checklist that matches the ED specialty.
- Driver's license with an address that matches demographics.
