Job Description
Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, where you will provide care for a diverse patient population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. You will work with a variety of patient diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. The unit has 64 beds, including areas for triage and trauma care.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Utilize specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
- Assess and monitor patient conditions throughout their stay.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to formulate treatment plans.
- Participate in charge nurse duties as needed.
- Float to other areas as required by the department.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric experience preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York.
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand).
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
- Travel experience is a must.
- Drivers license with address matching demographics.
