Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Intermediate Care Unit Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit with a focus on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and recovery through expert clinical skills and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and document accurately.
• Utilize equipment such as pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo Vents effectively.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license and all required RN licenses with verification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent experience in IMCU/PCU settings.
• Possess current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Document experience with EPIC EMR and demonstrate facility with specialty equipment.
• Have a valid driver's license matching your address and a reliable means of transportation within 75 miles.
• Be available for floating shifts and adaptable to unit needs.
