Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients in a specialized intermediate care setting, focusing on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and implement personalized care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage IV therapies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including RT for vent management.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized unit environment.

Qualifications:

• Active NY RN license with all required licenses verified.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU or stepdown units.
• Proficient in Epic EMR system.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid driver’s license with address matching demographic details.
• Experience with specialty equipment such as temp pacers, chest tubes, A lines, and Bipap.
