Registered Nurse IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide acute patient care in the IMCU/PCU. The role involves managing neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory patients in a fast-paced, specialized unit.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care for adult patients with complex conditions such as COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, and CV stepdown.
• Monitor and operate specialty equipment including temp pacers, chest tubes, A-lines, Bipap, and Neptune Vapo vents.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document care activities accurately and timely using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Float to other units as needed, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active NY RN license with verification, along with all required licenses.
• Demonstrate 2+ years of recent experience in IMCU/PCU or similar acute care settings.
• Possess current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Have a valid driver’s license matching demographics and the ability to travel locally.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is required.
