Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Utica, NY | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed

• Provide direct patient care in a 64-bed Emergency Department serving a diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage and treat common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Operate specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Float to other units as required
• Document and chart accurately using EPIC EMR
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities when needed (highly preferred)

• Active New York State RN License (verified and in good standing)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience, including some pediatric experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• Current AHA ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC certification required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Locals are welcome to apply (candidates residing within 75 miles will be considered at a local rate)

• Charge nurse experience or demonstrated charge capability
• Experience caring for multi-acuity patient populations including psychiatric and trauma patients
• Familiarity with CDU (Clinical Decision Unit) workflows

• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced Emergency Department with a broad and diverse patient population across all age groups
• Gain experience with specialized equipment and a wide range of critical diagnoses in a well-resourced facility
