Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Utica, NY | Acute Care

Contract | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a 42-bed ICU setting encompassing Neuro/Med, Cardiothoracic, and Surgical/Trauma populations
• Manage complex patient diagnoses including strokes, sepsis, altered mental status, respiratory failure, CHF, post-STEMI, cardiogenic shock, and major post-operative cases
• Operate and monitor specialty equipment including IABP, CRRT (Prismaflex / NxStage), ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Arctic Sun)
• Float to other units as needed (excluding Behavioral Health and ER, unless holding)
• Document and coordinate care using Epic EMR

• Active New York State RN License (verified via NURSYS; all active RN licenses must be in good standing)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, MS ICU, or Neuro ICU)
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Demonstrated experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
• Proficiency with Epic EMR
• Local candidates are welcome to apply

• 4–5 years of ICU experience strongly preferred
• Cardiovascular/heart experience highly preferred and prioritized during review
• Experience with IABP, ventriculostomy, ICP monitoring, and TTM (Arctic Sun)
• Familiarity with neuro intervention procedures such as TCAR
