Residential Security Officer

Securitas is hiring Residential Security Officers to protect people, property, and assets at client communities in Utica & Whitesboro, NY. In this role, you will conduct patrols, monitor access points, observe and report safety or security issues, and respond calmly to incidents and emergencies. Officers enforce site rules, write clear incident reports, and provide professional customer service to residents, visitors, and staff.

You will use radios and basic security technology, follow post orders, and collaborate with teammates and local authorities when needed. Securitas provides training, certification opportunities, and paths to advance into lead and supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Patrol residential properties and common areas to deter crime and safety hazards
• Monitor entrances, exits, and access control systems
• Observe and report security or safety incidents promptly and accurately
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies following post orders
• Write clear, detailed incident and daily activity reports
• Provide professional, customer-focused service to residents and visitors
• Enforce community rules and site policies consistently and fairly
• Use radios and basic security technology and follow communication protocols
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and local authorities as needed
• Participate in required training and maintain security certifications
