Electrician - Rotational

Summary or Purpose

Perform a variety of electrical work such as installation, maintenance and repair of equipment for the utilization and distribution of electrical energy.

• Maintain and repair the electrical systems in all North Slope Borough facilities and approved residential buildings area wide.
• Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus and control equipment.
• Check and maintain fire alarms in facilities and buildings.
• Observe safety standards and regulations.
• Travel to and work within North Slope Borough villages.
• Attend training to maintain and/or improve certifications and skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies and procedures.
• Skill in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems, components and equipment.

• High school graduate or G.E.D/or, a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
• State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness;
• Two years of electrical maintenance work experience;
• Ability to obtain an Alaska driver's license that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria within 30 days.
