Warehouseman

All Borough employees who occupy positions where federal law mandates testing shall comply with the requirements of the federal regulations and will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion return to duty and follow-up testing.

Perform a variety of industrial or heavy warehousing functions, which may include receiving, inventory control, supply documentation, data input and material distribution and/or delivery.

• Coordinate and perform activities in issuing, transporting and storing of warehouse inventory and materials.
• Monitor, maintain and order warehouse inventory for inventory control.
• Compile and maintain accurate distribution records and/or logs.
• Maintain accurate records of material in relation to job number or work order number for billing purposes.
• Perform office duties, including telephone and radio communications; conduct surplus sales; data entry into Micros/Midrange systems.
• Operate loader and/or forklift. May lift heavy objects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Skill in keypunch and computer inventory program.

• High school graduate or G.E.D., or a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
• Valid Alaska Commercial Driver's License (with Haz-mat endorsement) that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
• 49 CFR Hazardous Material Transportation Training Certificate.
• One year of work experience in a warehouse.
• Demonstrated ability to lift 70 lbs regularly.

49 CFR Hazardous Material Transportation Training Certificate does not apply at Public Works.
