Writer and narrator of the life story / speaker at funerals
As a speaker at the Humanistic Funeral Guidance, you make an important contribution to a personal farewell for the surviving relatives.
- are interested in fellow human beings
- good command of the Dutch language, spoken and written
- Being able to listen well and have a conversation
- Empathy
- Discretion
- Being able to give a speech in public
- Time to regularly (at least once a month) supervise a funeral
- flexibility with regard to employability
Before someone starts working as a speaker, they are first offered training and supervised through internships by experienced speakers.

We write and tell the life story of the deceased and help the relatives prepare the funeral ceremony. We do this based on humanistic ideas in which we put people at the center. Every person is unique and so is every life story.
