To start with, the position of Communication Manager – Northern Europe sits comfortably in the Northern European HR cluster team while working closely with the LCCA (Legal and Corporate Affairs) teams
. An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Communication Manager
, you will be asked to develop and implement an integrated internal communication strategy across the Northern European cluster and ensure alignment between local and global communication efforts to foster a unified employee experience
. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain.

With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Develop an overarching internal communication strategy aligned with the company’s global vision and adapted to local needs across the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, Finland, and Sweden;
  • Set up, manage, and optimize internal communication channels with a structured communication rhythm (e.g., town halls, newsletters, leadership calls);
  • Partner with HR and leadership teams to identify internal communication needs and translate them into clear, effective messages;
  • Serve as a sparring partner to leadership and teams for messaging, tone of voice, and channel choice;
  • Align local and central communication efforts and contribute to consistent, transparent, and engaging employee communications cluster-wide;
  • Support communication strategies in coordination with Global Corporate Affairs.

We are looking for a strategic internal communications expert with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role, we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of international experience in communications as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do.

We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with communication strategy development and cross‑cultural communication in a corporate setting
, but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture.

But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • Master’s degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field;
  • At least 7 years of experience in communication or PR, with a minimum of 3 years in…
