Our client is a fast-growing company operating in the cleantech space, focused on building smarter and more efficient energy infrastructure. They support organizations such as grid operators, water authorities, and renewable energy producers in optimizing how their assets are managed and maintained.

They are looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team in Utrecht.

You will be the primary contact for customers and potential clients. You establish strong partnerships with operators of solar parks, wind farms, battery systems, and energy providers, helping them optimize their operations with greater flexibility and efficiency within the future energy landscape.

You collaborate closely with our Commercial team and Solution Engineers to create tailored solutions. With your commercial mindset and technical understanding, you identify new opportunities and clearly demonstrate the value of our technology to prospective clients.

What will you do?

You develop and manage your own target accounts, qualify opportunities, engage with prospective clients, and guide discussions toward strong proposals and successful deal closures.

You build long-term partnerships and advise clients on how the platform can support them in adapting to a more flexible and future-ready energy system.

You maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in Hub Spot, while monitoring and reporting on pipeline progress.

You recognize emerging opportunities and respond proactively to market trends and developments within the energy sector.

You work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to strengthen our market presence through insightful content creation and participation in industry events.

Who are you?

You have 5 years of experience in  sales or business development , preferably with experience in a technical or energy-related environment.

You follow the energy transition with interest and want to actively contribute to it.

You are  proactive, creative, and see opportunities  where others miss them.

You have a strong  technical affinity  and can liaise between  commercial and technical stakeholders .

You have strong  communication skills in Dutch and English,  and know how to explain complex subjects clearly.

You feel at home in a  fast-changing, dynamic environment .

Experience with CRM systems (such as Hub Spot) is a plus.

The company offers a flexible hybrid working setup with both office and remote options.
