Business Development Manager

You open doors others haven't knocked on yet. In contract logistics, across the Benelux and beyond.  Our client is an international logistics service provider with a strong position in contract logistics, supporting complex logistics processes for leading global companies from modern warehouse facilities. As  Business Development Manager , you take ownership of commercial growth in the Benelux region, with additional focus on opportunities in Asia and the United States.

What will you do?
Develop and execute growth strategies to realise the organisation's profitable growth ambitions
Identify and approach new business opportunities in retail, fashion, pharma, aerospace & defence and high tech
Collaborate with operations, engineering and support departments to translate RFQs, RFIs and customer needs into complete, customised logistics solutions
Manage the full sales process from lead generation to contract signing using a modern CRM system
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers
Stay ahead of industry trends including digitalization, sustainability and e-commerce and integrate them into business strategies
Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to implement and optimise commercial strategies
What do you bring?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related field
Several years of experience in a commercial role within contract logistics
A proven track record of meeting sales targets and growing customer bases
Extensive knowledge of transport, warehousing and supply chain management
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English
Innovative, proactive and team-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
Knowledge of or a network in Asia and the United States is a strong advantage

Competitive salary between 60,000 and 100,000 euro gross per year, depending on experience
