Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our laboratory team in Uvalde, TX.
Job SummaryThe Medical Technologist performs complex laboratory testing across multiple specialties to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role is critical to delivering reliable, high-quality lab services to our community.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complex lab tests on patient samples under the supervision of the Lab Director
- Ensure accurate labeling and proper handling of specimens
- Maintain quality control procedures and laboratory standards
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support timely patient care
- Medical Technologist certification (ASCP or equivalent preferred)
- 1–3 years of hospital or acute care laboratory experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
