At Uvalde Memorial Hospital, every patient’s journey begins with a kind word and a welcoming smile. As a Registration Clerk, you’ll play a vital role in creating a positive first impression—helping patients check in quickly, feel cared for, and begin their visit with confidence and ease.

This is more than a front desk role — it’s an opportunity to bring comfort, clarity, and compassion to every person who walks through our doors.

In This Role, You Will:
  • Greet patients and families with warmth and professionalism.
  • Collect and verify accurate patient and insurance information for hospital services.
  • Obtain necessary signatures and authorizations while ensuring compliance with hospital and HIPAA standards.
  • Explain hospital policies and financial responsibilities in a clear and supportive way.
  • Enter patient data into our electronic medical record (EMR) system with precision and attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with departments across the hospital to support smooth admissions and timely patient care.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A caring and detail-oriented professional with a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s in Healthcare or Business preferred).
  • Experience in a medical or hospital setting preferred, especially in registration or insurance verification.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, and strong data entry accuracy.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine desire to help others.
Why You’ll Love Working Here:
  • You’ll be part of a compassionate team that makes every patient feel like family.
  • You’ll gain valuable healthcare experience in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
  • We offer professional development opportunities, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.
  • We celebrate teamwork, dedication, and the difference you make—every single day.
Ready to Join Our Family?

If you’re ready to bring your heart to work and make every patient’s experience a little brighter, we’d love to meet you.
