Central Supply Technician – Materials Management

Location:

Uvalde Memorial Hospital – Uvalde, Texas Job Type: Full-Time Keep Our Hospital Running Smoothly Behind every great healthcare team is a dependable supply chain — and that’s where you come in. As a Central Supply Technician at Uvalde Memorial Hospital, you’ll help ensure that our departments have the supplies they need to provide exceptional care. From ordering and receiving to stocking and delivery, your work will directly impact patient care across our  This Role, You Will:

Assist with the purchasing of medical and non-medical supplies, ensuring timely, accurate fulfillment from vendors.

Receive and inspect incoming shipments, process returns, and track backorders as needed.

Deliver supplies and equipment to hospital departments and stock supply rooms to maintain cleanliness and organization.

Monitor and maintain par levels to ensure departments are stocked according to their usage and needs.

Keep detailed records of purchasing, receiving, and inventory control in accordance with hospital policies.

Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support urgent supply needs outside of normal business hours.

Maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards, including safety, infection control, and storage protocols.

Perform other tasks as assigned to support the department and overall hospital operations.

What We're Looking For:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in healthcare materials management or supply chain preferred.

Effective communication skills in English (additional languages a plus).Strong organizational and time management skills.

Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with inventory tracking systems.
