Uvalde Memorial Hospital is looking for a reliable and tech‑savvy IT Helpdesk Technician to support our clinical and administrative staff with day‑to‑day technology needs.
Job SummaryThe IT Helpdesk Technician serves as the first point of contact for end users experiencing PC and EHR (Electronic Health Record) issues. This role supports staff operational needs across the hospital and clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first‑level troubleshooting and support for PCs, printers, and EHR‑based systems (Meditech/Citrix)
- Respond to helpdesk tickets in a timely and professional manner
- Assist staff with hardware setup, software installations, and user access issues
- Escalate complex issues to appropriate IT team members
- Support network connectivity and workstation maintenance
- Maintain documentation of support requests and resolutions
- 1+ year of IT helpdesk or desktop support experience preferred
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, and remote support tools
- Experience with EHR systems (Meditech a plus)
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced healthcare environment
