Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary

Loyal Source is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide direct patient care in humanitarian medical missions worldwide. The role involves clinical assessment, treatment, and coordination of care in dynamic environments.

• Full time
• 36-48 hour work week
• Day, Night, and Weekend shifts

$61.50 per hour plus $4.57 fringe. Housing and weekly stipend provided for travelers.

• Any state license accepted
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Primary Care, Family Practice, or Emergency Medicine
• NP Education or Training:
  Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State-accrediting agency and accredited by NLNAC or CCNE, and recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
• Comfortable with all age groups 0-99
• Experience with Communicable Diseases
• Must have or obtain BLS through AHA
• Must not have been convicted of, pled guilty to, pled nolo contendere to, or received probation before judgment for any crime other than a minor traffic violation not expunged
• Tier 4 Security Clearance required to start

• Provides direct care to patients
• Performs medical histories and completes necessary paperwork
• Evaluates and provides care per SOP, with medical follow-up on sick call or walk-ins
• Provides emergency and first aid treatment within scope of work until transfer to a local healthcare system
• Performs limited, minor surgical procedures that do not require extensive care, labs, or radiographic studies (e.g., simple suturing of uncomplicated lacerations, incision and drainage of simple cysts)
• Reviews/reevaluates daily or as necessary those cases requiring ongoing medical or pharmaceutical attention
• Carries out orders authorized by the physician supervisor
• Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy of medical records
• Applies knowledge of drugs and therapeutics when prescribing and dispensing medication
