Hallmark Field Merchandiser; part-time Uvalde, TX

Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and act as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.

• Hourly pay rate: $12.50-$14.50, depending on skills and experience.
• Paid training: live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.

• Part‑time position with a variable schedule.
• Average weekly hours: 6–10 hours.
• Availability required the week before and after major holidays, including weekends.
• Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

• Perform service work in the Hallmark department of retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). Handle day‑to‑day engagement: restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device. Communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Maintain courteous interactions with store employees, managers, and customers, and be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display.
• Holiday support: work additional days and extended hours leading up to and following holidays (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas). May be required to work on the actual holiday or over weekends.
• Department resets: join a team for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting sections. Receive two‑week notice for remodel assignments, which may include evenings or weekends.
• Part of Hallmark’s field organization network, provide support to other merchandisers as needed in territories.

This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and urgency. Workers must push, pull, lift and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. Work includes kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and climbing stairs or step ladders.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Can read, write and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Can operate a digital hand‑held device.

• Has reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores.
