Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization and time management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark in stores. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service.
- Day-to-day engagement: Utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Use of technology is critical for daily work, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers. Responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Holiday support: Hallmark operations follow seasonal demand. Expect additional days and extended hours before and after holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. May be required to work on the actual holidays, which may include weekends.
- Department Resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments and such work could include evenings or weekends.
- One Team Vision: You are part of Hallmark's field organization and may support other team members in their territories.
This is a physically demanding job requiring energy and urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds during the workday and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You may be required to kneel, squat, walk, stand, and climb stairs or ladders.
BasicQualifications
- You're at least 18 years of age.
- You can read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to operate a digital hand-held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
- Access to transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
