Job Description Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on automotive vehicles and heavy machinery. Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes and other components for signs of wear and tear.
  • Diagnostic Analysis:
    Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues. Diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems to pinpoint faults and malfunctions.
  • Repair and Replacement:
    Conduct repairs on faulty or damaged parts, including engines, transmissions, and braking systems. Replace defective components and ensure proper installation.
  • Welding and Fabrication:
    Perform welding and fabrication tasks for repairing metal components. Fabricate new parts or modify existing ones to meet specific requirements.
  • Documentation:
    Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities. Document parts usage, repairs made, and equipment condition.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a secure working environment. Identify and address potential safety hazards associated with machinery operation and maintenance.
  • Collaboration:

    Coordinate with other maintenance personnel to streamline repair processes. Communicate effectively with supervisors and operators regarding equipment status and maintenance needs.
Qualifications
  • Must possess current ASE Certification
  • Proven experience as an Automotive/Heavy Machinery Maintenance Mechanic.
  • Proficient knowledge of automotive and heavy machinery systems.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
  • Able to operate heavy equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
  • Stamina and agility to perform tasks in confined spaces
Education and Certifications
  • Must possess current ASE Certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational training or certification in automotive or heavy machinery maintenance is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license. Eligibility is determined by our insurance company.
