Senior Truss Designer
In House - Uxbridge
Cornerstone Truss & Components – Uxbridge, MA
Must be available to work in person - in Uxbridge MA
Full-Time | $90K–$110K
Cornerstone Truss & Components is looking for an experienced Truss Designer to join our growing team in Uxbridge, MA.
This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role where you’ll work closely with estimating, production, and leadership to design structural components that go directly into real‑world builds across the region.
We’re a fast‑moving operation with strong internal collaboration—ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the full process from design through production.
What You’ll Do- Design roof and floor truss systems for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects using MiTek or similar software
- Interpret architectural and structural plans to ensure designs are accurate and code‑compliant
- Create truss layouts, placement plans, and supporting documentation for production
- Optimize designs for manufacturing efficiency and material usage
- Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and production teams to move projects forward
- Communicate with builders and internal teams to resolve design questions
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
What You Bring
- Proven truss design experience (MiTek, Alpine, or similar required)
- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
- Solid understanding of structural design principles and load paths
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- 2+ years of truss design experience
- Experience with residential and multifamily projects
- Familiarity with current building codes and standards
- Stable and growing operation
- Close collaboration between design and production
