Main duties of the jobReporting to the Chief Operating Officer and accountable to the Chief Executive Officer, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for high secure, forensic and specialist services, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, performance and financial sustainability. You will work closely with clinical leaders, commissioners and national partners to deliver outstanding care, meet all national security and quality standards, and support the Trust's ambition to remain an outstanding, high-performing NHS Trust.
As a non-voting Trust Director, you will play a full role in Board and Executive decision-making, represent the Trust across regional and national forums, and act as an ambassador for high secure and specialist services.

Our high secure services care for patients from South of England and we provide low and medium secure services across eight London boroughs. The Trust also provides mental and physical healthcare in three London boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham). We employ over 5,000 staff, of whom 59% are BME. Our turnover for 2024-25 is over £500m.
The Trust is rated as 'Good' overall by the Care Quality Commission. Forensic services are rated as 'Outstanding'.
The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.

Person Specification Qualifications- Masters Degree, professional qualification or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge of multi-agency working at a senior level with track record of achievement through building effective relationships with clinicians and other leaders to manage operational delivery
- Experience of working in a complex public sector organisation at senior management level for a period of at least five years
- Experience of working at Board level or reporting to Board Director
- Experience of working within a Forensic environment including High Secure Services
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the NHS policy agenda and NHS contractual and finance systems
- Good knowledge of mental health policy
- Political awareness of secure mental health provision and within a complex stakeholder environment.

- Negotiating/influencing skills across a wide range of stakeholders, internally and externally
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Able to develop a wide range of contacts (networks) inside and outside the Trust to gain support for the Trusts goals
- Able to communicate and work effectively with a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and levels within and outside the Trust
- Able to build personal credibility
- Able to deliver against milestones and targets
