Mechanical Repair Technician (BH-72179-1)

Mechanical Repair Technician

A well-established manufacturer in Uxbridge, MA is seeking two skilled, hands-on Mechanical Repair Technicians to keep gearboxes and motors running at their best. In this role, you'll disassemble, diagnose, and rebuild precision units to exact specifications — playing a key part in delivering reliable, high-quality repairs.

Schedule of the Mechanical Repair Technician:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Pay Rate of the Mechanical Repair Technician:

$28.00 – $32.00 per hour.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Repair Technician:
  • Disassemble gearboxes and motors for inspection and repair.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, including wear, damaged components, and product quality concerns.
  • Replace damaged or faulty components as needed.
  • Reassemble gearbox units and motors to specifications.
  • Perform functional testing to confirm proper operation after repair.
  • Document detailed repair reports and recommend preventive measures.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with engineering and service teams on complex troubleshooting.
  • Operate manual and hydraulic presses along with various electronic diagnostic equipment.
Qualifications of the Mechanical Repair Technician:
  • 2+ years' experience as a Mechanical Repair Technician.
  • Proficiency with hand tools such as drills, ratchets, torque wrenches, air tools, and hammers.
  • Skill with precision measuring tools, including micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, and calipers, for accurate component alignment.
  • Ability to operate manual and hydraulic presses and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
