Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant; RDA

Summary

The Registered Dental Assistant supports orthodontic care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.

Pay Range $22.00 -$29.23/hr (Based on experience)

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operated x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Prophy teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Chart and treatment plan with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Setup and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Take IO's
• Charting
• Sealants, if applicable

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR Equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• BiLingual in Spanish, preferred

• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polish Certification required
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification, preferred
