Join Lonza in Vacaville, CA, as a Senior Electrical Engineer. This position reports to the Head of Utilities in the Utilities & Facilities Engineering Department. The Electrical Engineer is a subject matter expert in plant electrical, supports manufacturing, capital projects, and utility operations at the site.

What You Will Do

• Perform complex power system studies, arc flash analysis, and equipment sizing.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation and design through construction, commissioning, and validation.
• Apply knowledge of industrial codes, standards, and construction practices to ensure regulatory alignment and project success.
• Lead on-site commissioning and startup while providing field engineering support for installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation and reports required for project permitting, approvals, and senior management review.
• Coordinate with project managers and cross-functional teams to define scope, schedule, budget, and integration requirements.

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of proven experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in utility, manufacturing, energy, GMP environments, and large-scale infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
• CA Professional Engineer (PE) registration strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.
• Ability to work under time constraints and deadlines with frequent workload changes and competing demands.
