** Job Title**: EHS Coordinator
** Pay Range**: $33.00 to $38.00/hr.

** Summary
* * The EHS Coordinator supports the development, implementation, and maintenance of environmental, health, safety, and food safety aligned programs within a food manufacturing environment. This role ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements (FDA, OSHA, EPA, Cal/OSHA, local agencies) and BRCGS Food Safety standards by executing audits, training, documentation, sampling and risk assessments. The coordinator partners closely with Operations, Quality, Sanitation, and Maintenance to proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting employee safety, product integrity, and contamination prevention, while supporting continuous improvement and audit readiness initiatives.

* ** Knowledgeable in Federal and California state laws and regulations
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail with ability to read and interpret technical documents and explain in simple terms
* Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
* Excellent time management skills and accountability
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software and ERP operating systems
* Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Engineering, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience
* Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing with direct oversight of EHS related fields, or equivalent educational experience
* PCQI, QAC (or) QAL, T1, and Safety certified, or have the ability to become certified
* Bilingual (Spanish):

** Accountability # 1 – Core Responsibilities
**** Environmental/Regulatory
*** Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure the facility complies with all environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste management
* Environmental Audits:
Conduct regular environmental audits to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
* Waste Management:
Oversee the disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
* Pollution Prevention:
Key member of Pollution Prevention Team and drives implementation measures to minimize pollution and the environmental footprint of the facility
* Environmental Reporting:
Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies
* Permit Management:
Obtain and maintain necessary permits related to air, water, and waste management
* Regulatory Updates:
Stay informed of changes in environmental, health, and safety regulations and update programs as needed
* Government Liaison:
Serve as the point of contact with regulatory agencies on all EHS-related matters
* Regulatory Inspections:
Prepare for and manage inspections by regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance and addressing any deficiencies
* Documentation:
Maintain all required EHS documentation, including safety data sheets (SDS), permits, and incident reports
* Vendor Selection:
Participate in the selection of vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet EHS standards
* EHS Budget:
Develop and manage the Wastewater and EHS related budget, ensuring adequate resources for safety equipment, training, and compliance activities
* Cost Control:
Identify opportunities to reduce costs associated with waste disposal, energy use, consumables, and safety incidents
* Track and report on key EHS metrics, such as incident rates, compliance status, and training completion
* Ensures all reports and permits are submitted timely and accurately to regulatory agencies (e.g., SMR, etc.)
* Identifies applicable environmental regulations and risks at the Vacaville plant and ensures compliance and conformance to Environmental Policies and Management Systems
* Ensure that the company is current and up to date in the following:
+ Drinking Water Program  + Air Quality Management Program  + City Fire Department annual audit  + Hazardous Material Program and Training  + Storm Water SPCC Program  + Commercial Feed Program  + Refrigeration  + Wastewater  + SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control & Countermeasures) Program  + Support in our sustainability initiatives tracking and reporting

Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses
* Safety Culture:
Promote a strong safety culture within the organization by leading by example and encouraging safe behavior at all levels
* Risk Assessment:
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls
* Crisis Management:
Lead the facility’s response to emergencies, coordinating with internal teams and external agencies
* Incident Reporting:
Ensure timely reporting of incidents to management and regulatory bodies, as required
