Job Description
At North Bay Health a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide safe, effective, quality, and excellent nursing care to patients following Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring, Relationship Based Care, and the North Bay’s professional nursing practice model. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients assigned to their care, building therapeutic professional relationships with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote, maintain, and restore health.
Education- Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing
- Nursing degree of BSN level or higher is required. (excludes grandfathered employees).
- Valid, current and unencumbered RN license by the State of California.
- Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS and ACLS required.
- Must have Telemetry certification within 3 months of employment.
- PALS or ENPC within six months of employment.
- TNCC or ATCN certification within one year of employment.
- CEN, CPEN, or TCRN preferred.
- A minimum of six months acute care RN experience required.
- One-year RN experience as an emergency transport nurse is equivalent to six months of acute care experience.
- One year of ED RN experience preferred.
- Competent in providing skilled registered nursing care to emergent and trauma patients.
- Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
- All RNs in the Patient Care Services Department are required to wear Graphite (Dark Gray) colored scrubs per the professional appearance policy.
- FTE: 0.8 (Part-Time)
- Schedule:
32 hours weekly - Shift Length: 8-hour shifts
- Days:
Weekdays and every other weekend (Saturday and/or Sunday, based on business needs)
