Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Details
Pay range: $ per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex electro‑mechanical problems with manufacturing equipment
- Perform simple to complex mechanical preventative maintenance tasks following instructions
- Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments
- Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition
- Maintain intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance
- Diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
- Maintain intermediate understanding of electrical safety, motor control circuits, and programmable drives
- Troubleshoot inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues found
- Complete projects to add electrical circuits and controls, new equipment, and relocate machines
- Maintain and repair pneumatic systems including repairs of cylinders and other components
- Enter all work completed in computer‑based maintenance program
- Monitor and report spare parts usage including completing parts order forms
- Other duties / responsibilities as needed

- Must be flexible with shift schedules and on‑call requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb
- Ability to operate a forklift, articulating lift, scissor lift, and manipulate tools and/or controls
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, up to 110 degrees
Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2‑year technical school degree desired
- Minimum 4 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using a maintenance PM system
- Strong usage / knowledge of computer
