Position Description

Truck Driver CDL A – Regional job at Ryder System in Vacaville, CA.

We are seeking a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver.

• Compensation: $1,500+ per week or $30.62 per hour (45+ hours weekly).
• Per diem: $50 per night, with one nightly out per week.
• Paid hotel for nights out.
• Paid training and equipment.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday … Friday (4‑day work week), start at 4:00am.
• Route:
  Bay Area & Northern CA, home‑daily/ regional, 1 night out per week.
• Truck: 36 months or newer; 24/7 roadside maintenance.
• Freight:
  Heavy‑touch – pet food.
• Equipment:
  Straight trucks, pup trailers; 26′ straight, 28′ pups; manual pallet jack & hand truck.

• Uniforms, cell‑phone and boot allowance provided.
• Paid personal time off starting day 1 – 80 hours earned first year.

• Minimum age 21
• Pass Ryder drug test, background and motor‑vehicle check, DOT physical and road test.
• Provide ClassA CDL and endorsements.
• Tractor‑trailer experience:
  • 9months within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2years within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect, eliminate or minimize safety hazards and maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
