Payroll Administration Specialist

Overview

APi HVAC Services Inc (powered by APi Group) is growing and is searching for a Payroll Administration Specialist to join our Payroll team. This is an on-site position located in our NAC office in Vadnais Heights. The APi HVAC Shared Services Payroll Department processes weekly in-house payroll for all of the staff, union and non-union, under the HVAC Shared Services umbrella that includes 5 operating companies (1,300+ employees).

• Responsible for accurately processing in-house weekly union and non-union payroll.
• Utilize Excel to export data to prepare 401k submission, Union Reports, Certified Payroll Reports, and other ad hoc requests.
• Responsible for all federal and state payroll related taxes (some weekly, some monthly, and some quarterly).
• Maintenance of earnings withholding orders & court ordered wage assignments.
• Respond to employment verifications.
• Process employee terminations and union layoffs ensuring timely payments.
• Compile and electronically file annual Prevailing Wage information with MN DOLI.
• Annual (generally) input of new wage rates and fringe benefit rates for each union.

• 2-3 years minimum in-house payroll processing experience highly preferred.
• Construction union payroll experience highly preferred but not required.
• Organized and efficient.
• Customer service oriented.
• Adaptable to ad hoc requests.
• Highly proficient in Excel.
• Ability to work independently, yet know when to ask for help.
• Willingness to learn and grow; we will train on duties.
• Works well on team with a willingness to step in and help others.

$70,000 to $82,000 an hour (depending on experience) plus annual incentive bonus tied to company performance*
