Position Summary
We are looking for a 1st shift Maintenance Technician to join ourVadnais Heights, MNLocation. The right maintenance tech will have a strong understanding of preventative maintenance on manufacturing machines (CNC machines, turret punch, brake press, welding equipment, electrical, and facilities). If you have a proven background in successful PM within a sheet metal or stamping manufacturing environment, this might be a great role for you!
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs all PM’s based on a scheduled event for all Lake Air plants, and tracks results.
- Maintain facilities and grounds as well as manage associated contract services and repairs.
- Provide technical support by training and troubleshooting to all manufacturing employees.
- Interpret operational manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, blueprints, and schematics for manufacturing and ancillary equipment.
- Works together with the Production departments for Continuous Improvement programs.
- Remains current on all OSHA, Arc Flash, and LO/TO procedures and updates as required
- Trains on proper equipment maintenance and repair.
- Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Make recommendations on the use of machinery and equipment.
- Works with outside vendors in painting and performing structural repairs to buildings, equipment, masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Experience with Pneumatics, PLC, Electronics
- Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as contribute to the overall success of the team
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines, and easily adapt to change
- Working knowledge of Preventative Maintenance Programs
- 10+ years of recent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to network and/or research issues to quickly diagnose re pair issues
