Schofield Excavation Inc. is a trusted name in excavation, site development services, utility installation and gravel mining, known for delivering quality work on time and within budget. With a legacy rooted in precision, safety, and integrity, we are looking to strengthen our leadership team with a skilled Business Manager who can help guide our growth.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Business Manager with a strong foundation in accounting and business operations. This role will oversee financial performance, manage administrative functions, and support strategic decision-making.

• Oversee day-to-day business operations, including budgeting, payroll, and cash flow management.
• Maintain accurate financial records, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, and collaborate with external accountants as needed.
• Manage accounts receivable/payable and ensure timely billing and collections.
• Monitor project budgets and job costing to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Lead HR functions such as hiring, onboarding, and compliance tracking.
• Collaborate with leadership on business development, vendor contracts, and operational planning.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations relevant to construction and finance.
• Sales tax administration for gravel sales.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. (Not required but, strongly suggested)
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business or financial management (construction industry preferred).
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of GAAP financial principles, job costing, and budgeting.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
