Experienced Superintendent Essential Functions

  • Candidates will be responsible for on-site supervision, administration, and scheduling and coordination of construction projects according to specifications.
  • Job site safety: maintaining safe working conditions, crew and sub adherence to BPC safety protocols.
  • Effective communication with crew, subcontractors, architects/engineers, clients, building officials, company administration and all project participants.
  • Maintain quality, adherence to schedule, and maintain budget control.
  • Quality assurance for all crew, subcontractors and materials.
  • Effective leadership and excellent team management skills.
  • Daily job-logs, RFIs, schedule updates, and administrative tasks.
  • Inspections and on-site visitor management.
  • Work with PM to deliver high quality, profitable project in accordance to financial standards.
  • Responsible for adherence to project schedule including participation in development and regular updates with PM and Director of BPC.
  • Participate in weekly project team meeting meetings with owner, design team members, and construction team members.
  • Adhere to Balance Point safety policies.
  • Assists in development and implementation of quality assurance plans during the design and construction phases and seeks to align client expectations into this process.
  • Responsible for managing the closeout process with the construction team and owners.
Required

Education and Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with a general contractor on large scale residential building projects.
  • Excellence with regard to construction plans, grading, specifications and methods.
  • OSHA certification.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs - Word, Excel, Google services.
  • Ability to accept full-time assignments and be fully available during busy construction seasons.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Previous experience with high-end residential construction.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Skill and experience using Gantt Scheduling, Plan Grid, BIM. Some working knowledge of financial software and or Oracle ERP Netsuite also a plus.
  • Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree in one of the following:
    Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
