R & H Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in our success by preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects while working closely with project managers, vendors, and customers.

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Develop complete project bids, proposals, and budgets.
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Collaborate with project managers, operations, and field teams during preconstruction.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted on schedule.

• Experience estimating commercial and/or residential HVAC projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and installation methods.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Trimble, FastEST, Quote Soft, or similar is a plus).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

• 3+ years of HVAC estimating experience.
• Field experience in HVAC installation or service is a plus.
• Knowledge of local building codes and mechanical systems.
• Experience with design-build and negotiated projects.
