R & H Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in our success by preparing accurate, competitive estimates for commercial and residential HVAC projects while working closely with project managers, vendors, and customers.

What You’ll Do- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Develop complete project bids, proposals, and budgets.
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and field teams during preconstruction.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
- Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
- Ensure estimates are completed accurately and submitted on schedule.
- Experience estimating commercial and/or residential HVAC projects.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software (Trimble, FastEST, Quote Soft, or similar is a plus).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- 3+ years of HVAC estimating experience.
- Field experience in HVAC installation or service is a plus.
- Knowledge of local building codes and mechanical systems.
- Experience with design-build and negotiated projects.
