Certified Substitute

Overview

We are seeking a certified substitute to work at Calvin Baker Leadership Center (DO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing instructional and classroom support to students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher and ensure that all instructional materials are in place
• Maintain a positive and safe learning environment for students
• Provide one-on-one or small group instruction as needed
• Manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies
• Maintain accurate attendance records and submit them to the office at the end of the day
• Communicate with the regular teacher, school administrators, and parents as needed
• Participate in professional development opportunities as required

• Must hold a valid teaching certificate or substitute teaching permit
• Ability to follow lesson plans and maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and enforce school policies
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a variety of classroom settings
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
