About the opportunityPerform diagnostic MRI and X-ray examinations while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of patient care and image exam throughput and workflow. This position is PRN or as needed with eligibility for a 16% PRN differential.
What you will do- Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
- Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols.
- Review each examination for technical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.
- Identify each patient and review exam order for consistency with the clinical diagnosis, and verify demographic information including physician’s name and signature, patient’s name, and date.
- Maintain constructive collaborative communication with patients, family, physicians, co-workers and other health care team members to contribute to continuity of care.
- Maintain department policies and procedures, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, radiation protection, infection control, and universal precautions.
- Maintain working knowledge of the Vail Health HIS and PACS systems to ensure quality patient documentation.
- Monitor supply inventory and coordinate ordering; keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat.
- Model the principles of a Just Culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will needExperience
- 1-2 years of prior MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required.
- Previous X-ray tech experience including ARRT registry.
License(s)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) RT(R)(MR).
Certification(s)
- Basic Life Support required.
Computer / Typing
- Must possess, or obtain within 90 days, computer skills to complete online learning requirements, access forms and policies, and complete benefits enrollment.
Language
- Working knowledge of English (reading, writing, speaking).
Education
- Completion of all educational and clinical requirements to qualify for ARRT examination.
PRN (POOL) benefits include wellbeing reimbursement funds and 403(b) contribution eligibility. Pay is based on relevant education and experience per hour.
Hourly Pay: $44.64 - $61.60 USD
