About the Position

Allied Travel Careers  is working with Windsor Healthcare Recruitment Group, Inc. to find a qualified MRI Tech in Vail, Colorado, 81658!

Position: MRI Tech Location Vail, CO Facility Vail Hospital Length 13 weeks Shift - Rotating Schedule 3x12 Start Date 4/22/2026 Guaranteed Hours 32 Perform diagnostic MRI and X-ray examinations while ensuring quality, efficiency, and continuity of patient care and image exam throughout and workflow.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities.
1. Performs all MRI examinations according to Vail Health protocols. Performs all radiographic examinations according to Vail Health protocols. Review each examination for technical accuracy, send completed examinations to radiologist, and communicate pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure. Identifies each patient and reviews exam order for consistency of examination ordered with clinical diagnosis.

Reviews consistency of all demographic information including physician s name and signature, patient s name, and date. Maintain constructive collaborative communication with patients, patient's family, physicians, co-workers and other members of health care team to contribute to continuity of care. Maintains established department policies and procedures, objectives, confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental standards, radiation protection standards, infection control standards, and universal precautions.

Maintains working knowledge and use of the Vail Health HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation. Monitor supply inventory and notify appropriate staff for ordering when stock is low. Keep exam and dressing rooms stocked and neat. Role models the principals of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferred Experience:

Minimum 1 year previous MRI Tech experience preferred. Previous experience in healthcare required. License(s):
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) with Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) credentials: R.T.(R )(MR)(ARRT) required. OR American Registry of MRI Technologists (ARMRIT) required Certification(s):
Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.

N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment. Some of these hazards could include, but are not limited to: radiation, toxic chemicals, biological hazards, heat, noise, dust and stress. Vail Health has a Safety Management program in place addressing these issues. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye/hand coordination.

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
