RN - Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Postpartum

Position: RN - Labor and Delivery, Nursery, Postpartum - $96/hr
Job Summary (List Format):

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, laboring, postpartum, and recovering patients, including lactation education and assistance.
- Deliver family-centered care to well newborns and patients in the Level 2 Nursery.
- Collaborate with providers, staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction.
- Triage incoming patient requests, including high telephone volume, for services, medications, and information.
- Educate patients and families to facilitate care plans, promote informed healthcare decisions, and support wellness.
- Appropriately delegate care tasks according to Colorado state regulations.
- Use strong healthcare assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills in patient care.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures, consistently adhering to safety guidelines.
- Coordinate care with other practices and institutions as needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Advocate for patient safety, preferences, and communication using Relationship-Based Care principles.
- Serve as a role model for Just Culture and uphold organizational values.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy.
- Meet physical requirements including occasional sitting, standing, walking, squatting, bending, twisting, kneeling, and frequent lifting up to 35 lbs.
- Hold required credentials:
Registered Nurse license (Colorado or compact state), BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.
- Possess a minimum of an Associate Nursing Degree and at least one year of clinical experience.
- Work rotating shifts and cover specialties in labor and delivery, nursery, and postpartum care.
