Seasonal / Contract | April 2026. Event is April 4- a few days ahead to get organized, gather volunteers/help. Taste of Vail, one of Colorado’s most iconic food and wine festivals, is seeking a Grand Tasting Coordinator to lead on-site coordination for our signature Grand Tasting events in Vail.
This role is ideal for an experienced event professional who thrives in live environments, understands hospitality flow, and enjoys creating beautiful, seamless guest experiences in collaboration with a strong operational team.
Responsibilities- Coordinate volunteer teams for setup, reset, and breakdown between tastings
- Create and manage the event floor plan and layout, including winery, restaurant, sponsor, and guest flow
- Meet and coordinate with Fire Department and safety officials to ensure compliance
- Act as the main on-site liaison for sponsors, wineries, and restaurants during setup and event hours
- Collaborate with Restaurant Coordinator, Winery Director, and the Operations team of 8 experienced staff
- Oversee room readiness, transitions between tastings, and final presentation
- Ensure a polished, elevated, and guest-forward experience from start to finish
- Experience coordinating large-scale food, wine, or hospitality events
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable managing volunteers and working cross-functionally with multiple teams
- Able to think quickly, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems in real time
- Detail-oriented with an eye for design, flow, and guest experience
- Familiarity with fire, safety, or permitting coordination is a plus
- A seasoned operations team
- Dedicated restaurant and winery leadership
- Clear timelines, run-of-show, and planning support from Taste of Vail leadership
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who takes pride in producing exceptional events and wants to be part of a respected, long-standing culinary festival.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
