The Bell Attendant assists guests and owners with luggage, tours of the property, directions, and shuttling guests around Vail. The position may be full‑time or part‑time and is scheduled to fill by June 30 or until filled, with a possible start date in late May and availability until Labor Day.
Responsibilities- Maintain constant communication with the Front Office to escort guests and transport luggage efficiently.
- Ensure guests are comfortable, familiar with room amenities, and understand how to use room features such as television, fireplace, telephone, and front desk services.
- Provide casual conversation and local hotel or regional recommendations.
- Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms, assist with luggage, and offer information on available services, facilities, points of interest, and directions.
- Log and schedule deliveries from Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS through Package Zen, and notify guests of upcoming arrivals.
- Drive the Manor Vail vehicle within Vail (East Vail to West Vail).
- Keep the front drive clear of vehicles and assist with parking instructions for the garage and surface lot.
- Assist with maintaining clean lobbies, coffee buffet station, market restock, and removal of trash and recycling from the back of the front desk.
- Provide parking assistance for events, including payment collection from guests.
- Work cooperatively in an environment focused on trust, ethics, dignity, productivity, and morale.

Qualifications- High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- Basic math skills: add and subtract two‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, and perform such operations using units of U.S. money and weight, volume, and distance.
- Common sense reasoning for detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; ability to handle problems with a few concrete variables in standard situations.
- Proficiency with a smartphone.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Requires standing, walking, using hands and arms, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regularly required to talk or hear, occasionally sit, and endure outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise levels.
