The Front Office Manager will oversee the Front Office teams within our Rooms Division at Grand Hyatt Vail. This role focuses on staff training, inter‑department communication, scheduling, and ensuring a high level of customer and associate satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the hotel’s Front Office operations
  • Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives, and manage within approved plans
  • Maintain guest room inventory
  • Perform all tasks of a Front Office Staff as needed to facilitate service
  • Maintain accurate information on prices, rates, specials, packages, programs, etc., while ensuring all staff are trained in all areas
  • Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and procedures
  • Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards and Procedures
  • Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints
  • Ensure proper staffing levels for customer service goals
  • Ensure all safety and security policies and procedures are followed
  • Work closely with vendors to ensure proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • 4 years or more of progressive hotel Rooms Management experience (typically with Hyatt)
  • Experience with hotel pre‑opening preferred; service-oriented style with professional presentation skills
  • Hospitality degree an asset
  • High energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, effective communicator, and ability to improve the bottom line
  • Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills

$66,100 per year (starting rate). Actual pay commensurate with experience.
