Banquet Captain – Arrabelle at Vail Square
Location: Vail, CO, US
Shift Type: Summer Seasonal 2026
Employment Type: Full Time, Summer Seasonal 2026
Pay Range: $30.00/hr – $50.00/hr
Job SummaryThe Lead Banquet is responsible for delivering high‑quality banquet services to all guests. Responsibilities include planning events, setting up, ensuring prompt and accurate service, anticipating guest needs, and cleaning all banquet facilities.
Job Responsibilities- Ensure that venue meets all specifications in the BEO, including chairs, tables, staging, skirting, water stations, buffets, etc.
- Conduct a stand‑up with all front‑of‑house staff to discuss the BEO and any event details.
- Verify staff uniforms and name tags are properly worn.
- Assign duties to staff members for the event.
- Oversee seating, meal and beverage service, and quick clearing of tables.
- Be willing to work any position at the event to guarantee a top‑level guest experience.
- Answer customer questions and accommodate special requests when possible.
- Ensure proper billing is completed for each event.
- Maintain all work areas neatly and orderly, checking the banquet area before, during, and after the shift.
- Follow established checklists for opening and closing duties.
- Greet all guests courteously and professionally.
- Handle multiple guests efficiently.
- Follow brand standards for banquet setups.
- Ensure all BEOs are followed and serviced in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to move heavy banquet equipment and furniture.
- At least 1 year of food and beverage experience in a service or set‑up position.
- Experience with conference, banquet, and/or high‑volume restaurant settings.
- Flexible schedule, including extended hours, weekends, holidays, split shifts, etc.
- Ability to respond to and adapt to last‑minute changes.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Minimum age 18 years.
