Primary Purpose of PositionA Bellman is to extend the highest level of personalized service to all guests and patrons
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Greets guests as they arrive and introduces them to the Front Desk agent to facilitate check in procedures
- Assists guests with any questions they may have and directs them to their desired destination
- Accompanying the guest rather than merely pointing their destination is preferred
- Serves guests in every possible way exhibiting a friendly and positive attitude to ensure an enjoyable and relaxing stay
- Controls traffic at the front of the hotel and parking garage
- Assists guests with luggage to and from rooms
- Assists in advising guests of all In house venues and activities
- Responsible for guest long term storage needs
- Delivers and picks up guests misc needs or items
- While assisting in the guests check in to room orients them to the rooms and the hotels amenities
- Performs frequent cleaning maintenance on bell carts
- Maintains accurate key control including sign in and out of all keys and radios
- On occasion will be required to transport guests to and from local locations
- Maintenance and cleaning of hotel vehicles
- Responsible for keeping vehicles fueled
- Assists Business Center in storing of items received or shipped as needed
- Assists Activities Center in transportation of guests to golf course biking tours etc
- Assists Concierge with various duties as required ie bike rentals flower deliveries messaging etc
- Performs additional duties as defined by Front Office or other departments
- Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience
- Able to operate all makes of automobiles
- Valid drivers license with no previous violations
- Strong organizational skills
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year Customer Service experience
- Good physical condition able to carry heavy loads
- Excellent communications skills attention to detail ability to think on your feet and must be well organized as well as personable & polite
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for a full length shift up to 12 hours
- Able to perform various activities such as constant standing walking frequent bending reaching kneeling and squatting
- Able to handle objects weighing 50 65 lbs routineilly
