Onsite Ski Club Operations Supervisor

Role Summary

We are seeking an energetic, organized, service-oriented leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Vail Gondola Club during the upcoming ski season. The Ski Club Operations Supervisor will serve as the primary day-to-day leader for the Club's seasonal staff, working closely with the Assistant General Manager to ensure smooth operations, expectational member and guest services, and a positive and professional workplace.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, takes pride in creating an outstanding member experience, and thrives in a fast-paced mountain environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver a consistently warm, professional, and welcoming experience for members and their guests.
  • Anticipate member and guest needs and look for opportunities to exceed expectations within Club policies and guidelines.
  • Serve as the first level of escalation for member, guest, or staff concerns that cannot be resolved by front-line employees.
  • Handle complaints and difficult situations professionally, using sound judgment, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Escalate significant or unresolved issues to the Assistant General Manager of the CPOA and/or General Manager as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for Club supplies, food and beverage items, equipment, and other operational necessities.
  • Monitor usage and anticipate upcoming needs to ensure appropriate stock levels throughout the season.
  • Place orders with approved vendors as necessary.
  • Work to minimize waste while ensuring the Club is adequately stocked.
  • Maintain organized inventory and communicate purchasing needs to management
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a private club, hospitality, ski industry, resort, or other high-touch customer service environment preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous food & beverage service experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and hold staff accountable.
  • Comfortable working hands-on and performing operational tasks as needed.
  • Strong computer and organizational skills, including the ability to manage schedules, inventory, and ordering.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
  • Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors).
  • Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.
Pay and Benefits

$30.00 -$32.00 per hour, depending on education and experience
